Dear Santa

On Saturday Christian and I went to have breakfast with Santa at the festival of trees. It is a charity event and all the money goes back in to the community. Each one of the schools decorated a tree for auction. Christian is standing next to the one his school decorated. He had such a good time. He told Santa he wanted a snowboard. That was news to me. He was able to write a letter to Santa and they had a mailbox there for him to put it in. Then we all got served breakfast and then the kids sang carols with Santa and the elves. Hope you guys are doing well and we will talk to you soon.

SNOWY DAY IN MICHIGAN

Hi everyone,
Well, we have snow on the ground and it is about 30 degrees outside today. Suppose to be 55 Wednesday and Thursday. Heat wave. ha!ha!
Wish I could get this computer to download pictures, but it just won't do it. Good thing Teresa downloads pictures for us on this site. Really enjoy them... Can't wait to see the pictures of Christian having breakfast with Santa. That was cute Teresa, that Christian finally sat on his lap and said, "that wasn't so bad, that was just like sitting on your lap." How cute. Seems like just yesterday you two were little and I was taking you to see Santa. I remember when Frank was little and he had breakfast with Santa. He was the only child to show up and had the whole hour with Santa eating breakfast and laughing and talking. Do you remember that Frank?
When I see the pictures Frank and Christen have posted on their website, I can't wait to get down there. It is so beautiful. I love seeing the pictures and hearing what you two are up to.... Thanks for having the site. Enjoy that experience down there you two. If we could all be there with you , we would.
Do you realize that you all live in such a beautiful places? Frank and Christen in the Cayman's and Ryan, Teresa and Christian in Traverse City. You all know how to enjoy life and I am so happy for you all.
Rick and I haven't been up to a whole lot. Pretty much just hung around the house this weekend. Rented some movie, Deep Water and it was terrible. Don't waste your money. It was really bad.
Haven't seen any deer out hunting. The property Rick leases is pretty wet and with all the rain, each day he goes out there, it has crept closer and closer to his blind. Already had to move it once cause it got flooded. I haven't went out since Saturday. Was pretty boring when you don't see anything. It was funny, Friday night Mark and Rick were hunting so Julie and I met them at the Cascaddin for fish dinner afterwards. When I was pulling out of the driveway, just as I turned on the road, there were 6 deer standing in the road, one of them a buck. Rick just said "that figures". We put some corn out in the yard, so maybe we can get one here.
Christmas sure in coming up quick. Been trying to get some shopping done here. Need some more ideas from you all. For Teresa and Christen: Gold or Silver???
Looks like it will be a busy week for us all. Thanksgiving and then someones birthday on the 25th. Hmmmm.... Will probably go see Grandma in the morning and then to Rick's mom's for dinner. Hope you all have a wonderful and happy thanksgiving. Will be thinking of you all. Looking so forward to Christmas and coming to the Cayman's.
Take care and know that I love you all very much,
Love,
Mom
P.S. Rick says hi to all......

HAPPY MONDAY

Good Morning Everyone,
Hope that you all had a great weekend. Can't believe that it is November already. I was thinking yesterday how close Christmas is here. Seem like all of a sudden it just came up so quick. Just trying to get things ready for the Holidays and do some Christmas shopping.
The times that I am most excited about is when Teresa and I meet up to do some Christmas shopping, when Ryan, Teresa and Christian come down the 16th for Christmas and then when I come to the Cayman Islands January 13th to see Frank and Christen. Being with my family will be the best present of all!!!!!
Well, deer hunting season starts this Wednesday. I am going to go out with Rick for a bit. Will keep you posted. Hope I get one the first day. Want some venison to make some venison sausage. Going to take whatever comes in, buck or doe, it doesn't matter. He leased that property again north of Lapeer. Glad he has the blind and heater. Makes it alot nicer to sit out there.
Met up with Robin on Saturday. Thanks for sending Christmas presents Frank and Christen. Will make sure everyone gets them. Her and Rick's house is looking good. You won't recognize the basement when you come home. It is in the process of being remodeled so it is a long way from being done, but the plans they have are neat. Someone would be able to live in the basement. What a beautiful house they have.... One day I would like to have our remodeled. Cleaned it out yesterday.
Was pretty chilly outside yesterday. It is right at that time of year when there isn't much to do outside. Think I am going to have to go to the tanning booth again here to get some rays. Haven't seem them in awhile.
Glad things are going great for you all... I am so very proud of all of you.....
Have a great day and a wonderful week and remember I love you all so very much,
Love,
Mom

All Dressed up..

Here are some pictures from jarod and Tracy's wedding. We had a nice time. It was good to get out for the evening. Christian stayed the night at his friend Morgan's house. She has a new dog so Christian had a good time.

The truck was really busy on Friday and then really slow today. So there is just no predicting how the sales will be from day to day. We have pizza now and that is going pretty good.

Well it looks like you guys are having a great time with Dad there to visit. Have a good week!!

Here Comes the Sun!!!

It has finally been pretty nice outside. The sun has been shining the last couple of days and the weather has been in the high 50's. Not quite as warm as down there, but I will take it. Managed to get my plants cut down for the winter and yesterday Ieven mowed the lawn. Needed to get outside. Seems like we have been shut up in this house with the nasty weather we have had lately.
Friday night we went to dinner at the Blind Fish. The last place we had dinner before Frank and Christen left for the Cayman's. That was a fun night, wasn't it? Rick and I ususally end up just splitting a dinnner. By the time we have eaten all the delicious bread and appetizers, we are too full for dinner. Saturday night we went over to Jim & Denise's. Her and her daughter were having a candle party so the girls hung out while the guys played poker. Rick didn't win much, but he didn't lose much either. Kind of broke even.
Yesterday we pretty much stuck around the house. Rick went to the pheasant place in Grand Blanc for awhile. I have been in the cleaning/throw away mood. Trying to get the house ready for the Holidays...... Coming up quick.... Want to get the tropical bathroom painted here soon so I will be working on that.
The kitty we have is getting alot bigger. The plan was to have a barn cat, but he hasn't seemed to make it out there yet. The softer side of Rick is coming out and so the cat spends alot of time in the house. Still have all his bedding out in the garage and he runs around the yard and in and out of the house. Have this heated pad that he likes to lay on. It is fun having him around. Rick named him "Butch". Oh, well, could be worse. ha!ha! He follows Rick around like a little puppy. When he goes to get the mail, he walks down there with him.
Well, you all have a great day........
I love you all so very much,
Mom

Trick or Treating

Here are a few pictures from Christian Trick or Treating. I couldn't get to many because he was running so fast. We went with some of our friends and thier kids so he had some kids to go with. We went downtown Traverse City and he got quite a bit of candy. I found him this morning before school eating some in the living room. You must be excited to have dad there to visit soon. Hope you guys have a nice time.

IT'S BEEN A BUSY WEEK

Hi Frank, Christen, Teresa, Ryan and Christian,
Well, it sounds like it has been a very busy week for all of you. Your birthday Frank, celebrating Halloween, school parties, carving pumpkins and trick or treating. Thank you all so much for the neat pictures and stories on both blog spots. I never got around to carving pumpkins this year so it was fun looking at the different ones that you all came up with. Christian, you looked great in your police costume. I heard you had fun trick or treating. Hope you got lots of yummy candy.
Booked our trip today to come and visit you Frank and Christen. January 13-20th it is.
Been trying to get some Christmas shopping done here. Would like to be done the end of November. Looking forward to meeting up with you again here soon Teresa to do some Christmas power shopping like we did last year. That was fun.... For you all, please pass along your wish lists!!!! Have to get it to Santa......
Hope you all have a great week and remember that I love you and I am so proud of you all.
Love,
Mom
