ONE MORE DAY UNTIL FRANK'S BIRTHDAY

Well, it is almost October 30th which is your birthday Frank. Happy early birthday...... You couldn't have picked a better place to be to celebrate it . You have grown from a wonderful little boy into a wonderful young man. And I say young, you could be turning 50 like I will be soon. Ha!Ha! I couldn't be more proud of you.
Glad you had a nice birthday dinner Saturday night.... Sounds like it was alot of fun.
Today it was nice outside. Probably in the high 50's. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 62. A big heat wave..... Met with Aunt Jaci and Aunt Bev today for lunch. Was nice. Said to tell you both hi and also to tell Ryan, Teresa and Christian hi..... Jaci and I talked and this coming year she would like to come down and see you both there in the Cayman's and also take a trip up to Traverse City to see Ryan, Teresa and Christian.
Didn't do much this weekend other than that. Rick had the boys this weekend.
Loved the pictures on your website of the dives. They came out really good. Can't wait to go snorkeling and see all of that in person. Won't be long....
Well, you take care and I will touch base with you on your birthday.....
Love always,
Mom

Still Rockin

Hello

Hi,
I tried to post Christian's school picture for you but I could not get to post from the scanner. I e-mailed it to you but it only came through in black and white so I will mail you one soon. Hope everything is going well for you guys.
We have just been busy with the truck. The business has been steady, it just needs to pick up a little.
I talked to Amber for a while the other day and she said to tell you hello. She should be coming up to visit again soon. Have you guys kept in touch with all your friends in Michigan?
Dad is probably excited to come see you soon. Do you have anything special planned?

Christian had his last soccer game over the weekend and he got four goals. He really enjoys playing. Then I had Tracy's bridal shower on Sunday. Our friends Jarod and Tracy are getting married in November. They got a pretty good deal at a resort here called Timberlee.

It has been pretty cold here. It snowed again a little today. It is supposed to be like that the rest of the week. Hopefully it is nice on Halloween. I will post pictures of Christian in his costume for you.

Well have a good week.
Love
Teresa

Latest Happenings in Michigan

Hi Frank and Christen,
Not much happening here. Been hanging around 50 degrees and raining quite a bit. The leaves on the trees around here are falling off quick.
The exciting thing is Michigan right now is the Tiger's..... Go Tigers!!! They lost Saturday night 7-2 but came back last night with a 3-1 win... Was a scary last inning.
Went to a euchre game at Jim and Denise's on Saturday. Didn't win the grand prize, but I did fairly well. There were 16 people playing. Was alot of fun... Yesterday we pretty much just relaxed. Didn't get to sleep until after 2 am by the time the card party got over with.
Wait until you see Christian's school picture. It is so cute. Such a handsome little boy. I made him a police uniform for Halloween. Turned out really cute. Teresa said everytime someone comes over, he puts it on for them to see. I am sure you will see a picture of him in it.
Saw Bev and Grandma the other day... Grandma is doing good. She is going to be 80 next year. Hard to believe, isn't it? We want to have a surprise 80th birthday party for her next year....
Other than the above, not much has been going on here. I really enjoy reading your blogspot with all the neat things that you guys are experiencing there. Makes you realize how many things you miss out on when you live in a colder climate. Wish I had summer year round. Alot more things to do.....
Well, you two take care and remember that I am very proud of you both and love you very much...
Love,
Mom

Tuna

Hello,
Christen had mentioned that she bought a bunch of Tuna. This is a recipe that we use on salmon but the recipe actually calls for tuna. It is excellent on the grill. Thought you might enjoy it.....

Ginger Teriyaki Fish Steaks

3/4 cup Teriyaki marinade
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon ginger
4 Tuna steaks

Combine teriyaki, brown sugar, and ginger. Remove and reserve 1/4 cup. Pour remainder in to large ziploc bag along with the fish steaks. Press all the air out and let the fish marinade for 30 minutes, turning bag once. Grill about five minutes on each side or until flaky brushing with reserved sauce.

I LOVE YOU!!!!

Hi Frank and Christen,
Sounds like your having a lot of fun there. Things have been going good here. Has been raining all night and is overcast today. Think it was 54 when we woke up this morning. Well, the Tigers won their first game last night against the Oakland A's in a series of 7 games. Everyone is hyped up about it around here. Kind of like when the Piston's were winning all the time. If they win this series, they go to the World Series....
Rick went out goose hunting. Him and Cliff got 3 and Mark didn't get any. It was funny. Rick got up Saturday morning at 5:30 to go out and I planned on sleeping in. At 7:15 a bunch of geese flying over woke me up. Here if he had been setting out in the yard, he would have gotten some here.
So happy that your doing so well in school Christen. Keep up the good work.
Frank, the diving sounds like so much fun. Especially with that motorized thing. How exciting for you.... Have you taken any underwater pictures yet? When you do you will have to post them on the blogsite.
You two look so tan and so happy in all the pictures. There is that twinkle in your eyes!!!
Keep on having fun and doing all the exciting things that your doing.... Like I said before, this is an experience of a lifetime....
I love you,
Mom

Score!!

Christian had soccer on Saturday and he scored 2 goals so he was pretty excited. Then we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out some pumpkins and took a hayride. We decided to do the corn maze which was actually pretty difficult. We couldn't find our way out so after about a half an hour we just cut through the corn to get out.

We found another vendor in town to supply us with more hot items such as soups and goulash, etc. Ryan said they have been selling pretty good today. He seems to really enjoy the work. Well have a good day.

More sandwiches please...

Hi Frank and Christen,
It feels like so long since we have seen you guys. The time should go fast for you since you are both so busy. Christen definately sounds like she has her hands full with school and you with work and scuba diving. We read your blog everyday. Christian loves to see the pictures of all the fish and water. He is doing well in kindergarten. He loves the gym and music class which are new things to him. He has soccer again tomorrow and then we are going to the pumpkin patch.

So the lunch truck has been busy. We are selling so many sandwiches which is really good but not our biggest profit. We are having to order more almost daily. I think we are stressing the guy out at the deli. We should have all our numbers smoothed out in the next couple of weeks though. My job has been really slow lately so that has been good and given me some spare time to help out Ryan get started. Things are kind of slow up here for the staffing area since a lot of the automotive factories are laying off. We see a lot of people daily that have been looking for work for months and can't seem to find anything.

Well I will post some pictures this weekend for you to see. Have a good weekend!!
Love
Ryan, Teresa, and Christian

It's a Sunny Day in Michigan

Hi Frank and Christen,
Today is a beautiful day ...... Your so lucky, you get this weather everyday!!! There isn't a cloud in the sky (well maybe a couple) but it sure is nice from the weather that we have been having. Will probably get out and do some yard work here in awhile. It sure needs it.
Well, the neighbors across the street Penny & Brian came over the other day. Wanted to make sure we kept the cat in the garage since they saw a coyote outside their bedroom window the other night. Guess he was howling like crazy. They were surprised that one came so close to their house. That is the big excitement in Hadley....
My friend Kim, from Alaska flew home this morning. She will be here for a month. They have that house in Lapeer on 75 acres. Beautiful place. She needed a break from building their other house up there. Looks like we will all be able to go to Alaska one day. Yeah!!! They are building a house and 2 cabins. They live right on the Kenai River which is 4 football fields across. A moose and her babies came stampeding down their road the other day and almost ran right into the side of her van. She hasn't saw the 9 ft. bear anymore since her encounter that one morning.
Everyone here is doing fine. I saw Teresa, Ryan and Christian last weekend. Watched Christian while they flew out to Arizona to get their new catering truck. Business has been good for them. Christian and I spent a night at the Great Wolf Lodge. Had alot of fun. He had his friend Skyla come spend the night there with us and they had so much fun on the water slides, etc. They have this big bucket that fills up slowly with water and then it makes this clicking sound and dumps over on everyone. He was running up to go on the slide and didn't hear the clicking sound and just as he got to the stairs, it dumped over right on him. He didn't seem to mind. You will have to ask him about the big wolf Wiley that came to the room at bedtime with milk and cookies..... Also went to his soccer game. He is on another team now with older kids. Scored a goal....
Well, you both take care and know that I love you both very much....
Love,
Mom (Debbie)
